Yesterday’s results

Sunday may be the day of rest, but there was upheaval in the BTS rankings following the day’s slate of games.

Those who tabbed Chipper Jones stood pat, as the sizzling third baseman nursed a quad strain on the sidelines. However, the second- and third-most popular picks of the day — Kevin Youkilis and Jay Bruce — both went hitless. Bruce’s 0-for-3 performance snapped the leader’s youk.jpgstreak at 33 games.

The new top dog in the BTS rankings pushed his streak to 27 games thanks to a 1-for-4 effort from Chase Utley. Three more fans remained at 25 games after selecting Chipper, but moved up into a tie for second place with the flurry of activity on the leader board over the weekend.
