Yesterday’s results
After a week’s hiatus, the BTS world once again has a streak of 30 games.
Spooky93 received a two-hit day from master batsman Ichiro Suzuki, pushing his streak into the realm of the BTS elite.
Ichiro’s performance helped another BTS participants move into a tie for second at 26 games, where he was joined by two fans who received just enough on offense from Nick Markakis (1-for-5) and J.D. Drew (1-for-2).
The BTS leaders were wise to pick these hot hitters, but it turned out to be a tough day for those who went with the most popular selections. Manny Ramirez (7.4 percent) didn’t play in Boston’s victory, but Chase Utley (5.0 percent) and Chipper Jones (4.8 percent) both went 0-for-4, while Jose Reyes (4.7 percent) finished hitless in the second game of a doubleheader with the Rangers.
