Yesterday’s results

Only five Florida Marlins managed a hit against Kyle Kendrick and the Phillies last night. Unfortunately for soxwhite24, Jorge Cantu wasn’t one of them.

hollidayBTS3.jpgYesterday’s BTS leader saw his 36-game wash away as Cantu went 0-for-3 with a walk in the Marlins’ loss. With his departure, new leader bassman moved up from second place to take over the top spot. Bassman remains one step away from 30-game territory, however, as Matt Holliday was unable to play in last night’s postponed contest between the Rockies and Nationals.

Five competitors with 24-game streaks used yesterday’s leaderboard upheaval to jump into a third-place knot. Three of those fans went with Magglio Ordonez, who slammed a seventh-inning double to increase his lifetime mark against White Sox hurler John Danks to 9-for-14. The other two third-place competitors kept their streaks alive on the strength of 1-for-5 efforts from Ryan Braun and Hanley Ramirez.

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Alex Rodriguez (NYY): 6.3%, 0-for-4
2. Manny Ramirez (LAD): 4.6%, 2-for-4
3. Dustin Pedroia (BOS): 4.4%, 0-for-0
4. Lance Berkman (HOU): 4.2%, 1-for-4
5. Ryan Braun (MIL): 3.7%, 1-for-5
