rain in arlington all day. could affect Tex-KC game tonight

i have a question for anybody who has the answer. i am new at this . anyway, i took a player who had great stats vs. pitcher from washington. i had a florida player. he didn’t play until he made a pinch runner into the game late. now that he didn’t have a plate appearance but did play in the game, does my hitting streak end or am i safe ? thank you. i would appreciate whoever has the answer to email me please at : gregnewprague@aol.com sorry i just have difficulties in trying to get on the computer very often to look up answers to this so better to email me. thank you so much for all who can supply me an answer.

No, your steak is safe. I assume you are referring to Emilio Bonifacio. Your pick must have a valid plate appearance. The worst case is when you select a pinch hitter.

Oops, your *steak* is safe, too, although the dog tried to steal it…haha.

The Gameday Tracker shows that Bonifacio went 0-1, which does count towards your streak.

david wright, 0-for-4. at least 30 people who were at 13 lost streaks today

By my count, 34/121 people with 13-game hit streaks had David Wright today.

So even if everyone else was successful, the top group will be down to just 93 people.

Even so, the start is really more about publicity, than any improved chance of winning.

About 350 people were waiting right behind them with 12-game hit streaks and I believe you need at least a 39-game hit streak to win the contest.

Still, a fast start gives you more opportunities for success!

39? Try 57 LOL

39? Try 57 LOL

I mean it usually takes at least 39 to win the runner-up prize.

i have a bummer, i have an 11 game streak now but, i tried to log in on day 1 but couldn’t get in. then two days in a row my player didn’t play, rain and then the death of angel’s pitcher (r.i.p.) so i could have accually been amongst the leaders. but i’m hanging in there.

Well, you have no idea if your pick on the rain outs or benchings would have succeeded.

If you had already decided on your pick for the first day, before you were trying to log in, then I can understand that loss, which sucks.

But I encountered no problems logging in.

It might be a good idea to not wait until 5 minutes before locking point to try to put the picsk in though.

However, the leaders are merely arbitrary at this point. Everyone knows a 15-game hit streak will not win the contest.

It is nice to be up on the leaderboard, but with the expanded leaderboards, everyone can have a spot there somewhere, especially if you are already in double digits, even if it is on page 35.

To be honest, the contest can be a little less stressful, once the initial dust settles, because you have a clear cut objective to aim for and you do not have to do as much scoreboard watching for other people’s picks.
