It was a short-lived stay at the top of the mountain for www.martymuzic, who saw his 22-game hit streak come to an end with Albert Pujols’ 0-for-3 performance. It was generally a tough day for many fans, as the three most popular selections — Pujols, Ian Kinsler and Jose Reyes — all went hitless. Still, there was success to be found within the BTS ranks, and with the careful selections of Bobby Abreu and Alex Rios, three participants took over a share of first place at 22 games.

I had Ichiro for yesterday’s doubleheader. He went 2-10 but did not get a hit in the first game. My streak shows that it was snapped. What gives? Does this streak not count the second game of doubleheaders?
Hi- To whom it may concern I had ichiro as my player the last two days but they said my hitting streak was stopped Mondays game was cancelled because of rain and ichiro was 2 for 10 in the doubleheader so that should continue the hitting streak according to your rules- Thank you so much- have a great day- pczmep8340@sbcglobal.net
The player has to get a hit in BOTH games. For this reason it is not wise to pick a player when he has a doubleheader.
From the Official Rules:
In the event that a player you select plays in a double-header, your streak will only continue if the player gets at least one hit in both games in which he plays on that Game Day unless all the selected player’s plate appearances (one or more) result in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event that a player you select gets at least one hit in both games of a double-header, your streak will continue, but your streak will only increase by one (1) hit for that Game Day, and not two (2) hits.

Yeah that sucks guys. I learned the hard way about that rule last season when I didn’t know it changed.
