Yesterday’s results

Ryan Zimmerman was finally thwarted by the opposition yesterday, going 0-for-3 with a pair of walks to snap his hitting streak at 30 games. The end of that run also spelled an end to the streaks of 8.7 percent of the BTS field.

None of the front-runners picked Zimmerman, though, and it seems the skepticism over his ability to keep streaking paid off. Top dog tyrules667 held steady at 28 games, as his day’s selection, Dustin Pedroia, did not play. That created an opening for jpburnett232 to move into a tie for first on the heels of a 1-for-4 day from Albert Pujols. The following three placeholders also held steady in the rankings, leaving intact five streaks of at least 24 games.

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Ichiro Suzuki (SEA): 8.8%, 1-for-5
2. Ryan Zimmerman (WSH): 8.7%, 0-for-3
3. Evan Longoria (TB): 7.4%, 0-for-6
4. Albert Pujols (STL): 4.6%, 1-for-4
5. Carlos Beltran (NYM): 4.5%, 1-for-4
