Derek Jeter, SS, Yankees
.397 AVG during 14-G hit streak; 5-for-8 (.625 AVG) lifetime vs. Indians starter Jeremy Sowers

.400 AVG during 13-G hit streak

BTS all-time leader: Michael Karatzia, 49
MLB all-time leader: Joe DiMaggio, 56

Yesterday’s results

For a while, it seemed that BTS leaders Choteria and adnaz could do no wrong with their picks, but as Kansas once sang, “Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.” Choteria and adnaz both saw their lengthy runs come to an end this past weekend, their respective streaks of 36 and 34 games standing as the top BTS marks of the 2009 season.

And so, we head into a brand new month with a new wave of contestants at the front of the pack. waw_3card leads the way with a 28-game streak, ace21dlr and dlmead8 are tied for second at 27 games and 14 more are crammed into the fourth spot at 26 games.

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Ichiro Suzuki (SEA): 9.6%, 4-for-5
2. Cristian Guzman (WSH): 9.5%, 0-for-0
3. Albert Pujols (STL): 4.8%, 3-for-4
4. Jacoby Ellsbury (BOS): 3.9%, 1-for-3

Hey you guys. Any suggestions for today? Ichiro again?

gamara21 during my 34 day streak i had Ichiro from day 1 of his hitting streak which is now like 23 i think but i foolishly jumped off or i’d be at 37 now don’t know if he’ll ever stop he is a hit machine

adnaz I was tracking your run. Well done! I have a modest 12 game streak and I’ve picked him only once being afraid that eventually it will come to an end. I started it by picking a different player every day but the last 3 days ive picked the same and he has come thru relatively easy. I hope I didnt jinx him!!!! I am going with him again today!!!

good luck !!!!that was my fear that his streak would end and i picked different players the last 5 days of my streak and it cost me “BELIEVE”

Holy crap!!! 24 from the top 40 have picked Suzuki!! I cant believe it!!! Good luck you guys…

I would love to see a bloodbath. Just waiting for the Suzuki train to come to a wreak. That would clean the board pretty good.

Most likely he will get a hit but if you look at the #s, today’s situation is the weakest moment for Suzuki. If there is a weak spot for him, its the lefty pitching at home. Even in May, that situation was not his brightest spot.

Just not sure if Hill has what it takes though. After the first at bat though, I think he will be very careful when pitching to Suzuki.

Why isn’t Johnny Damon in the lineup? Anybody knows

I ended up picking Jeter today, since his hit streak is far earlier on, which makes his chance of sustaining it a bit higher.

But all 3 Kings of the plate came through today, as Ichiro just doubles in his 1st AB!

Wow…the entire 1st page of the active leaderboard was successful today!

So close. 2 hitter. Ichiro almost didn’t make it. Darn that first at bat. Hopefully tomorrow this nonsense is over.
