Beat the Streak Report: Thursday, June 23

Yesterday was a productive one in Streakland. Your top four selections — J-Up, A-Gon, M-Cab and J-Ham — joined forces to go 8-for-13, and advanced a combined 33.8 percent of all Streakers in the process. Piñatas were bashed, ice cream cake was eaten and a great time was had by all.

Today, well, today is unlikely to be so kind.

We’re heading straight into the eye of an Interleague Thursday, folks. Five games, 10 teams and very little matchup history. Animals are acting strange. The sky is a shade of purple. Our joints are aching. Make no mistake: the big one is coming.

As such, we’re providing a special relief plan. Below, in ranked order as determined by a super-secret formula, are the 13 hitters we’d consider rolling with today. We’re not saying you can’t pick a batsman not listed here. We’re just saying that we wouldn’t recommend it.

No feelin’ spicy, no thankin’ me later today. Just 13 kid-tested, mother-approved pick suggestions. Hunker down, Streakers, and let us know about any hidden gems in the comments.

The good ship Sebringt docked at the Port of 35 Games last night with a little help from Miguel Cabrera, and now sits a scant 22 days from the $5.6 million buried treasure. Special shoutout also goes to Jonroy73, whose 32-game run puts him second on both the current and season leaderboards. Good luck riding out the story today, gamers.

Jemile Weeks would be my spicy pick

Also – today is Thursday – Wed may throw some people off. :)

I went with Jemile Weeks too!

*High-fives*

I initially had Shane Victorino, since RotoWorld had made it sound like Weeks was not going to start, so if Victorino hits and Weeks doesn’t, it will be aggravating.

But with Beltre going 0 for 4 yesterday anyway, I don’t have to 2nd guess myself as bad now.

Whelp – I switched to Sandoval at 11th hour :) But I like them both.

I don’t get the Ichiro love today – one of the golden rules of BTS is to never go with Ichiro for a day game.

Has anyone tried the Odyssey game?
I can’t get into it. I have these problems:
Combined Count:
Contest ID: 0
For input string: “”

I set up a group for the Bloggers:

Group ID: 300

I fully maximized the options with 28 people playing, 5 strikes, and 5 people picking per day.

I wanted this game to be different than the old Survivor, so that is why everyone is not picking every day.

I would have went with 9 or 10, if it were an option, but 5 was the largest number you could pick without everyone picking.

The rules say private groups can go up to 30 players, but 28 was the largest number on the drop-down menu.

I’d like to start this as soon as possible.

I think it would be smart to have a 1-day break from when our last participant signs up to when we officially begin though.

I don’t think it’s fully up yet Yanks. By that I mean they haven’t fully posted the game yet.

I thought that today would be a massacre and a high reset rate because of the fact there were only 5 games but the massacre is coming and it might be this weekend.

That is for the MLB.com Odyssey contest by the way.

Thanks Champion. About to sign up now.
