Beat the Streak Report: Tuesday, July 5

The so-called “BTS Report curse” strikes again.

Just one day after sharing some of his deepest, darkest secrets with the rest of Streakland, season leader jonroy73 (a.k.a. Jonathan Roy) saw his 40-gamer go down flames Friday thanks to Paul Konerko‘s 0-for-3 against the Cubs.

While the six-week run won’t net Mr. Roy the $5.6 million grand prize, he still sits in the catbird seat for Streak of the Year honors, as well as the envy and admiration of all his fellow streakers. So worth it, right?

Since bclark2779 also saw their streak go sideways at 36 contests, jero07 reigns as our new current leader at 32 games. Just think, a few more correct picks and they’ll be eligible for a BTS Report personality questionnaire of their own. Bet you can’t wait!

I forgot to make a pick Sunday while riding a 3-streak. It could have been worse (a longer streak), but it still makes me sick!

That sucks, I know what you mean though. I’ve done that before when I thought I had a pick in and logged on later only to find out I lost a 6 gamer because of it.

It’d be nice to receive a “BTS Report personality questionnaire”, meaning I’d be in the mid-30s or 40s. But I’d have to respectfully decline until after my streak ends. Athletes aren’t the only superstitious ones out there. Question is will I ever get that offer? Don’t think it will be this year

That sucks Pearson. I have never done that before and I hope I too get the questionnaire and Ian today is Tuesday the 5th not Monday.

Yesterday DL players were discussed a bit. If you are quick, you can pick Cole Garner (COL) before he comes off the list. Sent to AAA today per rotoworld.

My streak is a measly 1, so today I’ll have some fun and pick Adam Dunn. He supposedly feels more balanced now and proved it with two (non-squared) hits yesterday. I would have picked Pedroia today otherwise, so I hope to see him go hitless and me to go 5-5. 😉

With amount of DL or DNP picks, I think you’ll have a high pause rate tomorrow that will make the reset rate look smaller than it really was.
