Yesterday’s results
With pregame reports circulating about a scheduled day off, no members of the BTS Top 10 selected Chipper Jones. Unfortunately, without the safety net of MLB’s leading hitter to help, several leaders made disastrous choices.
The BTS leader turned to Casey Kotchman to keep his 34-game streak alive, but saw his hopes dashed when the Angels first baseman went 0-for-4 vs. the Mariners. Other heavy hitters who went hitless for the day included Aramis Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez and Geovany Soto, ending three streaks of at least 25 games.
Fortunately, baseball’s other .400 hopeful — Lance Berkman — came through for several BTS leaders. The Big Puma’s 2-for-4 day justified his selection as the second-most popular pick of the day, and left the new co-leaders with a nifty 30-game streak apiece.
