I have no idea why Alex Gordon was a top pick today? He did not play yesterday because of a stiff left hip. Did they announce that he is starting today?

Could you please clarify something for me? How long does it take leaderboards/current streak stats to update?

    Thanks in advance.

I figured I would answer the questions I saw on the thread here, since I was hoping we could build some sort of community here:

    1) The leaderboards normally update this year at 3 AM EDT. In the past, the survivor always updated at 7 AM EDT, but the past I am talking about is when the contest was an actual survivor-style contest.

Everyone starts out on Monday (every Monday for 14-20 weeks) and picks a team. If your team lost, you were out. If your team won, you moved on. If everyone lost, everyone advanced. Then, at the end of the year, the winners of all the individual contests competed in one final showdown, in the playoffs. Problem was, MLB decided they wanted a Postseason Survivor too, so they had the “Tournament of Champions” alongside the Postseason Survivor the first year and then moved the Tournament of Champions into September for the next few years, and canned all the August contests. 2006 was the last year with the old format though. I do miss the old format though.

    2) The current streak stats

Hey you guys (Beat the Streak Website Staff) say the Kevin Youkilis of Boston did not play today (4/14/09) against the A’s. He did play and got at least two hits. Please fix your error so that all of us who picked him receive credit.
