As you may have guessed, Dustin Pedroia is the gentleman behind Door No. 1. Let’s Make a Streak is pretty easy like that. Many of you have taken advantage of the Laser Show’s recent run, placing him among the 15 most popular selections for each of the last nine BoSox game days.
Emilio Bonifacio — that’s him behind the second door — has been almost as good but not nearly as popular of late. The Marlins third baseman is raking like he’s never raked before, but hasn’t been a factor on the most-picked list at any point in the last two weeks.
We’re not saying Bonifacio is a must-pick, or even that you need to take him over Pedroia. But c’mon Streakers, the dude hasn’t gone hitless in a month. Show him a little love.

I was agonizing over any of the first four in the Royals’ order against Lackey. I couldn’t figure out which to pick because they all seemed equally hot against a mediocre pitcher. So I said screw it and went with Daniel Murphy of the Mets. Going for a 10-streak!
I did too, but picked him about 4 days ago.
Who said Ichiro can’t hit during daytime? Moved to an 8-gamer with his hit. I’ve got enough 7-gamers to nearly win this contest, when all added together. Until today; only 1 streak greater than 7 all year. Next immediate goal. Make the Top2500 before Friday 🙂
You can do it!
I’m estimating a reset rate at 18% or greater to keep page 100 at 8-gamers. Anything less and may need 9-gamer to get on. We’ll see. No biggie either way
If one big name goes down tonight you’ll be in top2500 tomorrow.
August 3rd is the d-day for the 57 game streak this year (barring any playoff tiebreaker games). First time I can remember that season ended midweek.
the season also started mid week too, another first.
I’ve taken Daniel Murphy as well only that I’m still at the bottom. If those who are at 0 like me get a hit every day through the last day of the regular season (Sept 28) we’ll reach 64.

Saturday I blogged how I felt that Lance Berkman’s swings were weak and not energetic. It looked like he was giving the infield grounder practice. In fact, the only ball he it that day into the outfield was a grounder where SS luckily broke in the wrong direction. Yesterday, he was 0-fer again. As it turns out he was playing with a rotator cuff injury. Don’t you hate that when your pick is injured and it isn’t reported? Anyway, I’d suggest staying away from him until he is taking full swings & starts hitting the warning track or better. Otherwise, at best, you may get lucky with a bloop single. Just my suggestion
^^ Oh, why was he only 0-2 yesterday? Pulled due to his nagging injury. I think he’s off my pick list for remainder of this year

Yep. He did get traded to the Giants but just needs approval from the league and Beltran which shouldn’t be an issue.
