Yesterday’s results

Spooky93 continued his charge toward BTS immortality, riding a 3-for-3 day from the sizzling Lance Berkman to push his streak to 41 games.

moreberkmanbts.jpgBerkman also came though for several other fans with an eye on the top prize, as he was the most popular pick of the day at 8.4 percent.

Unfortunately, many other top picks were not able to reward the faith shown in them by fans. Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter wound up with no official at-bats in a postponed game, which did not affect any streaks, but Derrek Lee, Carl Crawford and Aramis Ramirez all went hitless to dash the hopes of many a BTS participant.

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Lance Berkman (HOU): 8.4%, 3-for-3
2. Alex Rodriguez (NYY): 7.1%, 0-for-0
3. Derrek Lee (CHC): 6.2%, 0-for-3
4. Carl Crawford (TB): 5.6%, 0-for-5
5. Derek Jeter (NYY): 4.7%, 0-for-0

My 3 picks. I had to narrow to one.

    J.D. Drew
    Nick Markakis
    Ian Kinsler

    Went with Drew.

I thought about Brian Roberts too like Spooky93 but Odalis has been pitching well before the DL trip so I wasn’t sure. And with Baltimore, it came down to Roberts v. Markakis. Just went with latter but it didn’t matter as I decided to go with Drew.

I think the more important issue to address outside of the “No Pick” is why some of the daily entries don’t get posted in time?

There was a day earlier this week when picks locked at 1230 PM and yet the entry wasn’t posted until after 1245!

This hasn’t been the 1st time. It has happened 2 or 3 times before and this blog has only been open a few weeks.

Finally, when will there be a blog opened for the MLB.com: Home Run Edition and MLB.com Survivor contests?

I feel like I am completely up-to-date on the happenings in the Beat the Streak world, but completely cut off from the other two.

All i can say is this: the next time that spooky93 picks Ichiro that will be the pick that burns down the house of his hopes to win it all. I will go out on a limb and say that the man( Ichiro) who has been mostly responsible for this streak staying intact will in fact be the pick to lead to spooky93’s demise. If the spookster is to be bold enough to rely on Ichiro to do it for him just one more time…..that will send the pile of logs tumbling to the ground. Ichiro will go 0 for 4 with a walk and that my friends will be the end of what could’ve been. How ironic that the man who helped him get so far will be he one to crush the dreams of spooky93. Remember these words my fellow readers and you will see that what I say will indeed come to fruition if indeed spooky93 pushes his luck in relying on the beast from the east to make it happen. You heard it here FIRST. So it has been said, so it has been written. So it shall be. FACT!
