Yesterday’s results

Amazingly, all 19 particpants tied for first place in the standings were able to extend their streaks to 17 games. If that kind of good fortune holds up, then this will turn out to be a record-breaking season of BTS play!

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Albert Pujols (STL): 7.6%, 2-for-3
2. Jose Reyes (NYM): 5.6%, 1-for-3
3. Ryan Theriot (CHC): 4.7%, 0-for-4
4. Dustin Pedroia (BOS): 3.1%, 2-for-6
5. Chase Utley (PHI): 3.0%, 1-for-4

Here is the breakdown of the 19 players who are a perfect 17 for 17 heading into today:

Brian Roberts: 1

Mike Cameron: 1 (0 for 2)

Kosuke Fukudome: 1 (0 for 1)

Aramis Ramirez: 1

Chase Utley: 7 (0 for 2)

Carlos Beltran: 3 (2 for 2)

Nick Markakis: 1

Albert Pujols: 1 (1 for 1)

Jermaine Dye: 1

Chone Figgins: 2

All stats in parentheses are the player’s line so far for today.

Chase Utley has the largest concentration of selections and he is 0 for 2 so far today, with the Phillies getting no-hit through 5 innings so far.

I know that it is still VERY early in the season, and there are a lot of games to be played, but….. After today, I am not picking anymore Philadelphia Phillies players in BTS. The first time it was Ryan Howard, snapped my streak of 10 with an 0-3 performance. Then, just 6 days later, Mr. Utley does the exact same thing with an 0-4 outing. No more Phillies…. at least for me!

Utley & Cameron went hitless. Fukudome & A. Ramirez have a hit. I personally went with Miguel Cabrera today against a rookie pitcher. Dude is raking in about every category. Batting average in general, batting average against righties, and batting average during away games. All near .500. Hopefully he comes through.

Hahaha, I’m like that too Jackson. Actually I even get nervous taking a hitter for a 2nd time if he broke my streak once before lol. I’m a huge Met fan, the one thing I won’t do in this game is take anybody facing the Mets. I’m surprised Pujols had such a horrible average against Livan Hernandez. He sure beat him up today. I didn’t see why he wouldn’t be able to get a hit off Livan today, but even though he looked attractive, I just don’t like picking against my Mets.

Anyone else having trouble getting to the main page to pick players? I have gotten a blank page for two days now.

That’s funny, I looked at Pujols average against Hernandez too. So much for averages, huh!!! LOL. I should have taken the hometown favorite Cabrera too, but I had such a strong feeling about Utley facing Bush. Oh well, there won’t be a third time.

man…this has to be like the 5th time i’ve changed my pick only to have my new pick go 0 fer. I’m just gonna pick 10 guys and check 10 days later now

I had changed to emilio one day…only for him not to play and go 0-1 pinch hitting. I had changed my original pick to Emilio the next day thinking he’ll get a hit if he starts….which he doesn’t. I had picked Weeks (had Victor Martinez before changing) and Weeks went 0-1 then got injured in the bottom of the first and left. Now i changed from pujols to utley just because they said he’s reached base like 33 straight games. Yea…horrible luck so far.

8 of the 19 leaders have already gone down toady so far. let’s see if Markakis, Dye, Figgins, and Roberts can come through for the rest or if they will join the others who will be starting a new streak tomorrow.

I understand that the Dodgers are going to telecast some of their games on the baseball network..many followers will not have access to pay TV..it doesn’t seem right.
