Yesterday’s results
You know the part in “Airplane” where everybody on the plane gets sick from eating the fish for dinner, except for Leslie Nielsen, who ate lasagna? That pretty similar to what happened at the top of the BTS leaderboard.
First off, the 28-game streak of BTS leader baltimore20 came to an end with the pick of Ichiro Suzuki, who went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks vs. Texas. But the selection of Ichiro also spelled an end to the lengthy streaks of nico27945 (26 games) and rbcaliguy009 (25 games). That left room for bj_hotfox_22, who had the foresight to take Hunter Pence (2-for-6) over Ichiro, to slide into first place at 26 games.
Who knew that picking Hunter Pence would be the BTS equivalent of enjoying a lasagna dinner?
Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players
1. Ichiro Suzuki (SEA): 15.2%, 0-for-2
2. Albert Pujols (STL): 5.5%, 1-for-5
3. Carlos Beltran (NYM): 5.1%, 2-for-4
4. Adrian Gonzalez (SD): 4.4%, 2-for-3
5. Robinson Cano (NYY): 4.0%, 0-for-4
One thing I learned from going down with Ichiro in the past. Almost always pick him after he goes 0 for whatever and he will come through which is what I did, I also see the leader did too and it paid off.
