Yesterday’s results

Although Ichiro Suzuki dashed many a streak with his hitless performance on Wednesday, BTS co-leader greg4263 had enough faith in the speedster’s ability to bounce back at the plate yesterday, and Ichiro responded with a pair of doubles in four at-bats to extend greg4263’s streak to 27 games.

Fellow leader redleg ump went somewhat out of the BTS box by selecting Brandon Phillips, but the Reds second baseman came through with a single in five at-bats.

grebecks held onto his share of third place, pushing his streak to 25 games by tabbing Derek Jeter (1-for-4), while wyn11 kept pace with his selection of Ichiro. Five more enter the July 4 weekend tied for fifth place at 24 games.

May there be plenty of fireworks at the plate for all BTS contestants over the next few days!

Yesterday’s Top 5 most selected players

1. Albert Pujols (STL): 19.6%, 0-for-2
2. Ichiro Suzuki (SEA): 14.2%, 2-for-4
3. Torii Hunter (LAA): 6.3%, 1-for-4
4. Pablo Sandoval (SF): 5.3%, 0-for-4
5. Derek Jeter (NYY): 4.5%, 1-for-4

That’s three straight days that the most popular pick (and in all three cases, it was the runaway most popular pick) went hitless.

    Is that a record?

Having just made 16 with Miggy Cabrera tonite–I believe I finally got off the 10,000+ at 14–maybe 13.
