Beat the Streak Report: Monday, September 20
It turns out that 50,000,000 Elvis fans can be wrong, so the Beat the
Streak $3,000,000 grand prize money will safely stay in the BTS piggy
bank for another year.
I’m sorry, my fellow BTSers, but our final hope — “mattgolbeck” — saw
his dreams fade away, as his 39-game streak melted on Ichiro’s 0-fer
Sunday afternoon.
The bad news is that our new leader, “srinivasan.sr”, “only” has a
37-game streak and doesn’t have enough time left on the calendar to take
home the grand prize.
The good news is that is he/she is just six games away from tying Dick George and Geoff Croke atop our leaderboard.
Yeah, there’s still $10,000 on the line here, folks.
Time for Monday’s picks

My FINAL 2010 Beat the streak history: (regular season game)
successful picks – did not play picks – fail picks (O fers)
119 _______________ 10 _________ * ** 38
Of my 119 successful picks:
64 1 hit picks
38 2 hit picks
16 3 hit picks
3 4 hit picks
1 5 hit pick
—————-
*On April 21st I picked Ivan Rodriguez, and he went 0 for 0 but because he pinch hit and hit a sac fly he counts as a fail pick and my streak reset to 0 that night as a result.
**On August 3rd I picked Johnny Damon without knowing that the Tigers had a double header. He went 3 for 9 combined but all 3 hits were in game 2 so I stayed at 0.

yanksgiantsdevils33: Why not continue for the remaining 13 days of the season?
You can use it as training for postseason beat the streak!
What was your cumulative batting average for the season?
Home run: Prince Fielder (fail)
Survivor: Twins
@champion_88
My picks have gone 205 for 645 for a .318 average. (not counting sac flys)
You do have a good point if I’ve picked for 167 straight days why not pick for the final 13. I might change my mind and pick to see if I can get my average up. I learned from the home run game, and from last year’s beat the streak that if you don’t pick you can’t see the top 15 from those days on the my results page.
