I’m changing to Vladimir Guerrero from Dan Uggla. Kazmir has had a rough year and has allowed 25 homers in 144 innings and Guerrero is 8 for 16 off him overall although just 1 homer.
Miguel Cabrera and Hanley Ramirez are out for the year and Josh Hamilton will return tomorrow.
What I dreaded a few blogs ago maybe dreadfully happening. http://beatthestreak.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/09/beat_the_streak_report_thursda_64.html#comment-5878761
How depressing if it does happen, it would make 2010 one of the worst seasons and add an extra month without games until next April. I should have quit survivor too.
Survivor: Padres – If they lose today there season is over.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
What are you referencing there yanks?
Did you see something that confirms there are no postseason contests?
I would be very upset if that happened, but would probably continue diligently doing them on my own anyway.
What confirms NO is NO banners, or posts are up saying that postseason beat the streak and postseason survivor are coming soon like there was last year. It’s Thursday of the last week of the regular season if they were happening they’d have been up by last Sunday at the latest. I’m very disappointed too, I thought they were annual contests.
I thought with Dave making daily posts etc that MLB was turning the corner and embracing BTS players. If Dave could post a yes or no as to whether there will be post season games, we would be appreciated the info. I was thinking that Captain Morgan would fund a modest prize for post season play. Let’s wait and see.
San Diego’s season is over they just gave up a run in the 9th and lost 1-0 to the Cubs to end my glorious winning streak of 2. I knew I needed to practice survivor for the postseason game that I THOUGHT was going to be held. Me among many are MAD as HeLL about mlb.com bailing this year and having no postseason beat the streak and survivor games.
My final 3 picks of the year are below and then on Sunday I’ll update my final survivor record and total number of successful home run picks.
Friday;
Home run: Alex Rodriguez
Survivor: Yankees
Saturday;
Home run: Nick Swisher
Survivor: Dodgers
Sunday;
Home run: Prince Fielder
Survivor: White Sox
With San Francisco needing 1 win to clinch the NL West and Atlanta 2 up on the Padres who lost 3 of 4 to the Cubs at home, there won’t be any tiebreaks on Monday after I thought there would be.
Of course I SWITCH again from Jose Batista because of Francisco Liriano only having given up 6 home runs and he gives up 3 tonight, 2 to Batista. Vladimir Guerrero fails to homer at all.
I’m taking the Giants on survivor on Friday, not the Yankees.
Who won the 10,000 dollars? There was a tie at the top…
