Beat the Streak Report: Monday, May 23
While it appears the world did not end over the weekend, former leader buddycrise saw his 30-game streak raptured back to zero on Friday evening.
Deepest condolences to you, buddy, although a share of the season lead is plenty to hang your cowboy hat on these days. Not quite as substantial as a $5.6 million hat rack in your foyer, but a point of pride nonetheless.
It was also good to see buddy get right back on the horse with a two-game run on Saturday and Sunday. We bet things are looking downright Bautisterrific on his season stats page.
Anyway, a new week has dawned, and unless the subway preachers were just off by a couple days in their apocalypse calculations, that means seven more chances to roll with any of …

Jon Jay should be out of the lineup today since Lance Berkman is back healthy and there is no DH slot tonight.
Pretty cool that trixie had the ONLY Bourn pick in the entire Top 2500!
Joyce normally sits against lefties.
Boom. Jose Bautista just homered to move me to 3 in HR.
Kemp gets me on the HRBTS board
I had Granderson in HRBTS and changed him to Howard. I had thought about Bautista too, but didn’t pick him. Here’s hopin.
I thought I had Batista too but it turns out I got Howard. I also have Kemp for Beat the Streak and he has hit! 🙂
I went with Ryan Ludwick today.
Welcome back Josh Hamilton. 1st AB home run. Gonna see him in the Top2500 picks Tues or Wed.
Hamilton will be up there again but I don’t think that soon. Maybe but we will see. I knew he was coming back but he wasn’t available to pick in HR BTS earlier today.
No because as of this afternoon he was still listed on the DL. Utley came off DL yesterday so he was available.
Actually he was listed before it locked and I was so tempted but decided against it, partly due to the fact that he had no HRs to date.
Could be that soon, look who TEX is playing against 😉
Esp with Texas at home all this week, and Josh playing DH.
Oh well, looks like I bombed out on both BTS games. I never thought I’d even get to 1 in HRBTS, and I got to 2. So I think I did OK.
Well 7 was nice while it lasted. Unless the sox can put up 4 runs here, I’ve got a slight chance with Elvis due up 5th.
And to make me feel worse A Gonzalez(my original pick) just singled.
Kinda bites when your HRBTS streak is better than your BTS streak, huh? I know. On the brighter side… new leader tomorrow as Ellsbury takes down wyocathy
The Top2500 is all yours this week. I’m a bit burned out & taking the next several days off; just making picks & checking box scores & injury reports the next day. Until the weekend…
No problemo.
