Beat the Streak Report: Monday, June 20

Two challengers entered the BTS arena last Friday, each with a share of the season lead and a hunger for everlasting glory. Now, just one remains: sebringt.

Our convertible-loving current champ got two hits from Adrian Gonzalez last night, pushing his run to 34 games and extending his margin atop the season leaderboard to three. Nearly 20 percent of all Streakers agreed with the A-Gone pick and were rewarded for their efforts.

With no other current streak above 29 games, this could be the sebringt show for a while. Don’t look now, but he’s roughly a week away from our — gasp — first BTS Report Streaker interview of the 2011 campaign.

There isn’t much matchup history to tap into on this interleague Monday, so today’s picks are based on recent performance at the plate, how much we’d like to play wiffle ball with them and a few other secret ingredients. Please enjoy responsibly.

I just loaded up with Albert Pujols picks for the next 10 days since it seems likely he is headed to the disabled list.

Youz might want to do the same!

Love it when my guy gets a hit before the data pull is even finished running. Onto tomorrow. GL all.

  5. LaVolpe

3 of the 4 Bloggers Group Top2500 members already move on. Good job!
This is one of those days when the obvious pick was just too easy, 1 AB hit.

  6. LaVolpe

Leader will remain idle today along with 159 Top2500 members. Braun has respiratory viral infections and was a late scratch.

      • champion_88

Of course, the 2 other guys I was considering both got hits in their 1st AB: Carlos Gonzalez and Nick Markakis.

  7. LaVolpe

Guerrero PH & 0-fer again. For our group, hopefully none of you pick him during interleague if he’s playing in a NL park. The BAL manager clearly stated a week ago, that Vlad would not be seeing any fielding in these scenarios. That means PH at most!
