Beat the Streak Report: Monday, July 18

New day, new week and a new leader, Streakers.

Hankwoods was unable to survive the weekend, seeing his streak go down in flames at 37 games on Saturday. Thirty-seven ties Mr. Woods for the season’s second-longest run, but unfortunately entitles him to a cash prize of only $0.00.

Hank got back on the horse yesterday but was among the 16.1 percent of you who reset to zero thanks to Ryan Braun’s injury-shortened 0-for-1 effort. Life lesson: stay away from the guy who’s questionable to play a full nine innings. You’re welcome for that earth-shattering advice!

Anyway, erakelson sits atop the current standings at 29 games, with finelin33 second at 27. Please at least pretend to root for them as they journey toward the 57-game promised land.

LOL! I wish it didn’t lock so early. Would have given me time to change my pick. Not like I’m worried though.

Cubs throwing a 1 hitter after 4 innings against the Phillies? Wonders never cease
That’ll reduce the leader’s ABs if my Cubbies can make a great showing

  4. LaVolpe

Well, that’s official. For 3 straight days, the top dog on the leader board fell. To all of them, welcome back to earth; it’s been awhile.
