Beseaching, his highness, THE KING, to set a more realistic hitting streak for the Sept 2010 bonus game streak. With the winners having to get a 30 game streak to win – that is too lofty of a goal. This year it looks as if there will be 6 winners maximum. The prize is modest, $100 for two opening day tickets for April 2010. In NY at Yankee Stadium, what would $100 buy? I’m guessing 1 1/2 standing room tickets! It is a fun contest to end the year and gives some hope to all who have toiled and not done so well. For 2010, Oh King, please set the win level at 20 games. Give us a fighting chance to win something.
The Sept 30 game streak edition of bts is kind of like a carnival game – you can try but no one ever wins!

KING

Need to recheck my results… Had Kubel… Hits in both games but credited with only one game

Thanks

I picked Mag Ordonez for Sunday 9/27 he didn’t play. Then i pick M. Cabrera for Monday 9/28, it was rained out. I’m back to zero ? ? Little confused, ON Tuesday the dh both my guys got hits. WHY?

Dan…………..
The BTS rules page is a killer to try and read. It does state that if you pick a player who plays in a double header he must get a hit in both games, if he playes in both games, for your streak to advance one game, not two games.
If he get a hit in one game and plays in the other game and does not get a hit, your streak is over.
Is the rule unfair — yes. Moral: stay away from doubleheaders.
baileys1219 – Your streak should not go back to zero if your picks did not play in 2 consecutive games – the King does make errors.
Wednesday 9/30
Going with Ryan Howard in BTS and HR BTS.
Go luck to all……… Got to stay sharp for playoff bts!

dragbunt – since I am new to this I will have to ask…..is there really a playoff game or were you being facetious? :)

I was talking about the “playoffs” – “League Championship” series’ that will begin next week. There are BTS games for them. The NL/AL do not use the term playoff series’
When you sign in on the fantasy page look on the upper left and you will see 3 new games that begin next week.
I have never played these games before.
With the wild card teams separating themselves, there does not look like there will be a need for a one game playoff on Monday.

Even if there was a 1-game playoff, it would be handled by the regular season versions of Beat the Streak.
