    Dragbunt’s Great Experiment – Day #3

As a critic of the “Kings at the Plate” daily advice, I’ve decided that if you can’t beat them you should join them!”
I’ve got a three game streak going now. My pick of the day will come from the “Kings at the Plate” players only. I’m going with Cristian Guzman.

    Reasoning:

Orlando Cabrera is 4 ? 14 v. Brian Bannister, not so good.

Ichirio ? Tough to go against Ichirio. Mark Buehrle, a lefty, has struggled in his last 3 starts but my last streak ended when I picked Ichirio vs. a lefty. So I?m going to pass on Ichirio today.

Cristian Guzman ? A switch hitter who has been hot lately. Derek Lowe is a solid pitcher but does give up a lot of hits. Will Guzman play? I?ve got my fingers crossed.
Guzman was put on waivers a few days ago(?) What was that about?

Tuesday?s Results: All 3 ?Kings at the Plate? players got hits. I had Orlando Cabrera(1-4).
Kings at the Plate choices are now 6 for 6 in the two days of my experiment.

    Good Luck to all today!

Picking the Kings at the plate is a good idea for those who don’t have lots of time. I just started 3 weeks ago (and love this game) right now i have a streak of 15 at least 12-13 of which i’ve picked from the kings at the plate. All you have to do is look at that and see which of them has at least a .400 average and at least 10+ at bats vs that pitcher. Also that the pitcher can’t get hot sometimes (mark buerle for example)
Today i picked cristian Guzman and now i’m half way to the first prize.
    Good luck all

Which Mark Buehrle will show up in Seattle tonight?
The perfect game Buehrle or the guy who has been a batting practice pitcher the last two starts. Interesting to see that the leaders (with the exception of the #1 guy who went with Michael Young) chose Ichirio. He was my original pick then I gave it another thought and went with the hot Cristian Guzman who got a hit.

ahieser2 – Your doing great in the game especially as a new player. Good luck going forward. As you look at the Kings of the Plate for Thursday, who do you like for my pick of the day? – Ichirio v. CC Sabathia, Tulowizki of Rockies or Orlando Cabrera. This is a tough one for me.
Ichirio facing a good lefty two days in a row. Is it time for a day off for him on Thursday?

LOL! I knew the eggman’s luck of run-of-the-mill picking has to end. You really can’t win this game picking Suzuki, Mauer, and Ramirez with occasional Young and Pujols. So many have tried and failed doing that exact thing.

His mistake. Not doing enough homework to realize Carmona has been getting his feet back. He never had problem against righties even during his worst moments. Its was the lefties that killed him. Look who got hits off Carmona today. All lefties. Young has been ho-hum this month so his penchant for hitting righties may not be enough. Plus, he is not playing in TX.

eggman3131 – You had a great run at it.
Young goes 0 – 5 tough to figure out this game.

btsplayer – Nice observations on Carmona and the game in general. Your comment about choosing Suzuki, Maurer, Ramirez are right on target. I tried and failed this way.
That is why I tossed out that approach and I’m going with an “out of the box” approach of picking from the Kings at the Plate guys each day. Who do you like for me on Thursday of the 3 Kings at the Plate? – I really can’t choose one over the others. Ichirio, Tulowizki or Orlando Cabrera?

dragbunt i like ichiro tomorow he has had losts of experience with cc this isn’t that hard of a pick in my opinion if he was still in cleveland it would be an easy pick. What i’m having an extremely hard time with is who for friday right now i got crawford but that will probably change but the kings dont look good right now
